Why Small Packs Cost More per kg
The petals are the same; what changes is how we source them. For bulk orders, we buy from our partner farmers in large volumes, and they give us a better rate for that quantity. We pass that saving on to you. For small packs, we buy in smaller lots at the farmers' regular rate, and each pack also needs its own pouch, label, sealing and shipping.
If you use rose petals regularly at home, the 1 kg pack is the better value. For a business, the bulk rates make sense from 50 kg.

What Affects the Price of Dried Rose Petals
- Whole vs broken petals. Whole, intact petals generally cost more than broken pieces or dust.
- Colour. A deep, even pink to red usually reflects careful drying and fresher stock. Brown or faded petals are often older or dried in poor conditions.
- Aroma. Good petals still smell clearly of rose when you open the pack.
- Moisture. Petals that aren't dried properly weigh more, so you pay for water, and they're more likely to develop mould.
- Cleaning. Removing stems, sepals, dust and foreign matter takes time, which shows up in the price.
- Food-grade vs decorative. Petals meant for pooja, rangoli or decoration aren't necessarily grown, handled or packed for eating.
